There are some great films out there that will instantly remind you how great single life is and how much potential you have to design any life you want while you’re not hitched. These movies are great for singles and help you get your mind off not having a boyfriends on Valentine's Day:

  • Sex and the City - What better movie to watch than this?! You don't have to be single to follow the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte as they paint the town with their bold personalities and fun lifestyles!

Go Out and Hit the Town

If a movie doesn’t interest you, try hitting the town to find local bars and restaurants hosting Valentine's Day specials and events fun for singles!
  • Some might feature a trivia night, singles’ themed or host a bar crawl at a low cost.
  • Check opentable.com to see what restaurants are hosting Valentine’s Day specials that can suit you and a few friends.
  • For example, Bull and Bear in Chicago is hosting a Sex and the City trivia night on Valentine's Day. 

Throw An In-Home Spa Party

If you’re not spending money on someone else, why not pamper yourself? Create and send homemade invites to your friends and host a spa party.
  • Buy some inexpensive nail polish and all the necessities for manicures and pedicures, and you can all do each other’s nails.
  • Have everyone bring an appetizer and drink some wine while laughing about all the great memories you have of being single!
